ELCAS-Approved Training Provider

To access Enhanced Learning Credits funding, you must first serve the necessary duration of eligible service, then fill out the ELCAS claim form before your chosen study program begins, for which you're seeking ELCAS support.

Eligibility for an ELCAS claim requires a minimum of four years of eligible service for the lower funding tier (maximum of £1,000 per claim) and eight years for the higher tier (maximum of £2,000 per claim). Only service from 1 April 2000 onwards counts towards this eligibility.

You're allowed up to three ELCAS claims throughout, but limited to one per financial year (1 April - 31 March), with the option to claim up to ten years post-service.

For each claim, you must cover at least 20% of the course fees, with the MOD covering the rest up to your tier's limit.

Claims must be proactive; you cannot submit them retrospectively. Ensure your claim form reaches ELCAS at least 15 working days before your course begins or you register, giving you ample time to obtain your Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) to present to your ELCAS Approved Training Provider before starting the course.

Do not set up a full loan/credit agreement for the course fees at all costs.

Ensure you do not make any payments or book your course until you have your CAN in hand.
